
THE MACCABEE SHOW
RELIVE THE STORY OF CHANUKAH THROUGH MUSIC AND DRAMA
THE MACCABEES SHOW Is a Chanukah travailing performance that takes children back in time to embark on a riveting adventure through ancient Judea. They encounter King Antiochus in his pompous palace, see the suffering caused by racial prejudice and intolerance, and join the Maccabees on their mission to fight oppression and reclaim religious freedom for their people. It is a story of resilience in the face of suffering, and the victory of freedom over persecution.
The show can be set up in your school, community group or any other place.
Requirements:
ROOM: Large enough to accommodate guest, props and equipment for the show. Access to electrical outlets are required for light and sounds.
GROUP SIZE: Can accommodate small or large groups ranging in size from 1-100 guest.
SHOW SCHEDULE: The show runs during the week of Chanukah November 27 until November 5th.
SHOW TIME: The show runs for about an 45 minutes to an hour.
AGE: The show can be enjoyed by children ages 3-12.
HIGHLIGHTS: Children receive their very own driedel that can be used during the show and to take home.
